The Managing Director of The Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) is also named among the influential people of India. Before taking charge as MD-TRIFED, Pravir Krishna was Joint Secretary, Ministry of Shipping. He has also worked as a part-time official director in Shipping Corporation of India Limited and Dredging Corporation of India Limited.

Few people know that before that he served as the Government Nominee Director of Kamarajar Port Limited from 23 February 2016 to 1 May 2017. Not only this, but the upliftment of the tribal community as a mission is very close to the heart of Pravir Krishna. He has always been ahead in working for others. He has worked openly for the tribal community. Pravir Krishna, who is always ready for such works, is on top of matters in implementing tribal start-ups being MD-TRIFED. Not only this, he is constantly working amid the Coronavirus crisis.

Even at this time, he says, 'Livelihood loss is a major issue for the workers, so we have prepared a strategy to give them employment. Due to the outbreak, there are very limited options for them at home. So we have to make sure that they have a means of livelihood. Our aim will be to organize them in small groups and to promote their products in the market. Pravir Krishna has worked in tribal areas of Chhattisgarh (then part of undivided Madhya Pradesh). Shri Pravir Krishna has determined that he will make the forest dwellers (tribals) entrepreneurs. He says, "Every year nine lakh forest dwellers (tribals) will be made entrepreneurs i.e. 45 lakh tribal entrepreneurs will become entrepreneurs in five years." For this, he has considered Van Dhan, Jan-Dhan, and Gobar-Dhan schemes.

Pravir has also asked to investigate any incident of spread of coronavirus among tribal communities. Pravir is very honest about his work and he has always thought about tribal areas. For this reason, his name has been included in the list of '50 Impressive Indians 2020 'released by Fame India magazine today. He is ranked 41 on this list.
