Rain wreaking havoc in Jammu, water entered people's homes

Jammu: The rain in Jammu division in the early hours of Monday put the public in trouble. In many low-lying areas, water started filling the houses of the people, while on one side of the circular road connecting Panjatirthi, 3 vehicles parked here fell down the hill. Not only this, the boundary wall near Sulabh toilets built in the Government Medical College Hospital premises of Jammu also fell in the grip of this rain.

It started raining at around 3 am on Monday morning. Residents in low-lying areas woke up from the fear of waterlogging and tried to stop the water from entering the houses, including the vehicles coming out of the streets, but within half an hour the waterlogging was stalled. When the drains start to overflow, the water drains from the streets drains into the houses. Nearly 3 feet of water was filled in the street in Trikuta Nagar Extension, Ambedkar Nagar area of the city. After the arrangements of the people, about half a foot of water was filled in the houses of the public. Similarly, in the lower areas of the city Rajendra Nagar, Talab Tilo, Shanti Nagar and Digyana, the problems of people have increased due to water filling in some houses.

There was a noise on the circular road in Jammu city when a section of the road was knocked down. As soon as the edge of the road started to break down and 3 vehicles parked here also fell into the ditch under the mountain, in the figure of dozens on the circular road, people parked vehicles as there was no place to reach the nearby neighborhoods. All three vehicles crashed badly. After which the local people gathered here and the remaining vehicles were taken away from there, where the Panjatirthi-Siddha road of the city also fell from the mountain at two places but there was no loss here.
