On the seventh day of Shukla Paksha of the month of Sawan, the birth anniversary of Goswami Tulsidas, the author of the holy book Ramcharitmanas, is celebrated. That is, on Monday, 27 July, is the birth anniversary of Tulsidas. Goswami Tulsidasji was born in Samvat 1554. Tulsidas Ji is told that he did not cry after being born, but Ram's name came out of his mouth. Therefore, in childhood, he was named Rambola. It is also told that Tulsidas had 22 teeth from birth.

It is said that Tulsidasji was seen by Lord Shree Ram and Hanumanji. When Tulsidas Ji reached Kashi on a pilgrimage, he kept chanting the name Ram. After this, Hanumanji, a devotee of Ram, appeared to him. After this, when Tulsidasji prayed to Hanumanji to see Shree Rama. So Hanuman Ji told that Lord Ram will meet in Chitrakoot. After this, Lord Ram appeared in Chitrakoot to Tulsidas Ji on the festival of Mauni Amavasya.

It is also said that in the dream of Tulsidasji, Shivji ordered him to compose poetry in his language. He woke up to this dream. Then Lord Shiva-Parvati appeared there and told him that you should go to Ayodhya and compose poetry in Hindi. Shivji told him that with my blessings, your creation will flourish like Samveda. Tulsidasji came to Ayodhya immediately after Lord Shiva's order. After this, on the day of Ramnavami on Samvat 1631, the same yog was formed, as it was at the time of Ram's birth in Tretayuga. Tulsidasji started writing Shri Ramcharitmanas early that morning, which is read with reverence and faith in almost every house of the country today.
