Uddhav Thackeray has become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. All this has become possible after the end of the political events going on for a month. The Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress alliance chose Uddhav Thackeray as its leader for the post of Chief Minister of Maharashtra. After this, the leaders of the coalition met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and claimed to form the government of 'Mahavikas Aghadi'. The leaders of the coalition submitted a letter to the governor supporting 166 MLAs. According to a Raj Bhavan statement, the governor said in a letter addressed to Uddhav Thackeray that I have seen that Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi has 166 elected members.

According to the media report, a Shiv Sena leader who met the Governor along with Congress-NCP leaders said that Thackeray will take oath as Chief Minister at Shivaji Park in Dadar on November 28 at 6.40 pm. Uddhav will be the first leader from the Thackeray family to represent the top political post in the state. The statement said that since Uddhav is not a member of the Maharashtra Legislature, he would have to become a member within six months of taking an oath of the Chief Minister's post. The government has been given time to prove its majority by 3 December.

For the first time, a Chief Minister will be made from the Thackeray family. Until now, the Thackeray family had kept itself away from the elections, but in this year's assembly elections, the family had broken this tradition and fielded Aditya Thackeray. It was a sign that now Shiv Sena will put all the emphasis on the post of Chief Minister. Ever since the results were declared on October 24, Shiv Sena started pressuring the BJP to make Aditya Thackeray as Chief Minister. However, Uddhav himself had to prepare for the post of CM under the changed circumstances after the alliance broke with the BJP.
