New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pacer Umran Malik has created a sensation with his pace in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022). Umran, who bowled the second fastest ball in IPL history, also bowled at a speed of 154.8kph while playing against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Tuesday. He took three wickets for 23 runs in 3 overs in this match. With this, Umran has destroyed a big and old record in IPL. So far in the current season, he has taken 21 wickets in 13 matches. Umran has now become the youngest Indian bowler to take 20 or more wickets in a single season of IPL.

Umran took the wickets of Ishan Kishan (43), Daniel Sems (15) and Tilak Verma (8) during the match. After these three wickets, he has now become the youngest Indian bowler to take 20 or more wickets in a season of IPL and in this case he has broken the record of MI fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Umran Malik has taken 20 or more wickets in a season of IPL at the age of 22 years and 176 days, while Bumrah took 20 wickets in 2017 at the age of 23 years and 165 days. Umran Malik is the second fast bowler after Kagiso Rabada to take 20 or more wickets in IPL 2022.

Former Indian fast bowler RP Singh is at the third position in this list. He took 20 or more wickets in the 2009 season at the age of 23 years and 166 days. Former spinner Pragyan Ojha is at the fourth position in this matter. Ojha took 20 or more wickets in 2010 and is 23 years and 225 days old then.
