The unlock 5.0 started in the country from today. On Wednesday, the unlock-5.0 guidelines were issued. In view of the festival season, the government has increased the relaxation in unlock-5.0. Under this, the government has approved the opening of cinema halls, entertainment parks, swimming pools from October 15. However, cinema halls have been allowed to open with a capacity of 50 per cent. The SOP will be fixed by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting separately.

As per the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the state governments would be able to decide on opening of schools and coaching institutes after 15th October. However, the consent of the parents will be required during this. For the Indian festival from October to November, such as Navratri, Dussehra, Deepawali, the central government has taken special care in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that people can also celebrate festivals with gaiety and enthusiasm with covid-19 infection prevention measures.

The central government has allowed the opening of cinema halls and multiplexes from October 15. In addition, swimming pools can also be opened for training of players.
In the Unlock 5.0 guidelines, the Central government has also allowed the opening of entertainment parks with 50 per cent of the individuals.
The centre has also given exemption to the state Government to take a decision after 15th October to reopen the school and coaching institutes. However, it is necessary to seek parental permission before reopening of school and coaching centres.
In Unlock-5.0, the central government has extended the strict lockdown in the container zone till October 31.
Laboratory and experimental works will be sanctioned only for Ph.D. in higher education institutions and postgraduate students in science and technology stream. Which have been allowed to be opened from 15th October.
The centre has said that online and distance education will still remain optional. Where school online classes are being conducted, it will continue. Some students prefer to participate in online classes instead of being physically present, they may be allowed to do so.
Only 100 people will be allowed to join social, educational, sports, entertainment, cultural, religious, political and other ceremonies.
There will be strict restrictions on the involvement of people living in the entertainment zone in these programmes.
Business to business exhibition has also been allowed by the Ministry of Home Affairs with a guideline.
The lockdown has been extended till 31st October in view of the increasing cases of COVID-19 in Maharashtra. However, from 5th October, hotels, restaurants, food courts and bars will be opened with a capacity of 50%.
