UP govt to give compensation in case of animal loss, orders district magistrates

Lucknow: Torrential rains are lashing several areas of Uttar Pradesh, due to which incidents of loss of life and property have also been reported. At the same time, the late departure of monsoon is also having an adverse effect on crops. Keeping all these things in mind, CM Yogi Adityanath has instructed the district magistrates (DMs) of the districts affected by excessive rains to speed up relief work.

CM Yogi Adityanath has said that immediate relief should be provided to the people affected by the disaster and assistance should be provided to the victims without delay in the case of animal loss. CM Yogi has instructed the officials of all the concerned departments including Revenue, Panchayati Raj, Village Development, Urban Development, Medical and Health, and Animal Husbandry to be active for the conduct of relief works.

Along with this, CM Yogi ordered senior officials to visit the areas and monitor the relief work. According to an official statement issued on Friday, CM Yogi directed the district magistrates to make arrangements for drainage on a priority basis in areas affected by waterlogging. For this, according to the need, the problem of waterlogging should be resolved by installing pumps etc.
