The 12 new policies issued by the Uttar Pradesh government after assuming power in March-2017 included the handloom, power loom, silk, textile, and garment policy-2017.
Before the Investor Summit of February-2018, the notification of this policy was implemented on January 25, 2018. Since then, guidelines have been issued several times for the effective execution of the policy. After two and a half years now, the department says that problems are being faced in the investigation of the proposals under the policy. There is no definition of many important technical terms in the policy. Due to this, there is no clarity in the investigation of the proposals. It is now to see what kind of change happens.
