Lucknow: Politics in the country has just intensified in the last few days, the same example of how bureaucracy makes good government thinking and policies senseless - handloom, power loom, silk, textile, and garment policy- 2017. This policy, prepared after the same long deliberations and foreshadowing, is full of shortcomings. The situation is that under the policy, proposals related to incentives to investors are not even being investigated.

The same thing happened to increase the focus on the textile industry due to the Corona epidemic, so the officials remembered the shortcomings of the policy after two and a half years. The same is now preparing to eliminate these deficiencies. A cabinet proposal has been prepared for this. The 12 new policies issued by the Uttar Pradesh government after assuming power in March-2017 included the handloom, power loom, silk, textile, and garment policy-2017.

Before the Investor Summit of February-2018, the notification of this policy was implemented on January 25, 2018. Since then, guidelines have been issued several times for the effective execution of the policy. After two and a half years now, the department says that problems are being faced in the investigation of the proposals under the policy. There is no definition of many important technical terms in the policy. Due to this, there is no clarity in the investigation of the proposals. It is now to see what kind of change happens.
