Rampur: Police at Jauhar University have raided the ground to investigate the scam. According to information, the police had reached the university library today where they launched the raid. The 26 farmers of Rampur have accused Jauhar University Chancellor Azam Khan of forcibly occupying their land, after which the UP government has initiated strict action on the whole issue.

The State Administration has registered a number of cases against Jauhar University. According to the information received so far, the raids were carried out on the disappearance of Madarsa Ali's books. The Mumtaz Central Library, built within the Jauhar University campus, is under investigation by Co-Based Police Officers. Recently, the ADM of Rampur had asked for the removal of unauthorised occupation from the road passing through the university.

A court had cancelled the lease of seven acres of university land. In addition, the administration has asked Azam Khan to pay 3.27 crore 60 thousand rupees as compensation. Azam Khan has been ordered to pay Rs 9,10,000 a month to the Public Works Department till his release, which Azam Khan has filed before the Allahabad High Court, which will be heard tomorrow.
