UPSC CSE Result 2022: This time too, girls outshine, Ishita Kishore becomes topper

New Delhi: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final exam result of Civil Services Examination 2022. For the second consecutive year, only girls have topped this exam. Only women have got the top 4 ranks in the exam. Ishita Kishore, Garima Lohia, Uma Harthi N and Smriti Mishra made it to the All India Top 4 in the UPSC 2022 exam respectively, while Mayur Hazarika of Assam succeeded in getting the All India Rank 5th rank.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh has congratulated the women and other successful students who secured the top position in the examination. A total of 933 candidates have passed this exam, including 613 males and 320 females. Ishita Kishore, who secured the first rank in the exam, is a graduate in economics from Delhi University's (DU) Shri Ram College of Commerce, while Garima Lohia is a commerce graduate from Kirori Mal College, DU. Uma Harathi N has done B.Tech in Civil Engineering from IIT Hyderabad. While Smriti Mishra, the fourth topper of the exam, is a B.Sc graduate from DU's Miranda House College.

The marks of the candidates will be released after about 15 days of the result. Let us tell you that the interview round of the exam started from January 30 and it continued till April 18. 2,529 candidates who were successful in the main examination were called for interview. Let us inform that, under the Civil Services Examination 2022, UPSC had recruited 1011 posts including IAS, IPS.
