She wrote in a tweet, "The International Monetary Fund, ie IMF has estimated that Bangladesh is close to leaving India behind in terms of GDP per capita" She added, "What are we, we are busy in apologizing to Tanishq and finding out the meaning of secularism." Many people are also praising her after seeing this tweet. The International Monetary Fund (IMF)-World Economic Outlook (WEO) is expected to increase Bangladesh's per capita GDP by 4% to 1,888 dollars in 2020, while India's per capita GDP is expected to decline by 10.3% to 1,877 dollars, the lowest in the last four years.
The IMF has also projected that India's GDP may decline by 10.3% this year. However, the IMF's estimate for India is far below the forecast made in June, which says that the coronavirus epidemic could see the biggest contraction in emerging markets.
