A US Deputy Marshal was apprehended by UK authorities on Tuesday for purportedly molesting a woman while aboard a Delta Airlines flight from JFK Airport to London. The incident, marked by the federal officer's misconduct allegedly fueled by alcohol, occurred before the flight touched down at Heathrow Airport on Wednesday morning.

The 39-year-old deputy marshal was taken into custody on suspicion of molestation following reports from airline staff regarding disruptive behavior and alleged inappropriate conduct towards other passengers and crew, as per the London Metro Police. The US Marshal’s Service pledged collaboration with UK police as the investigation advances.
Expressing a staunch stance, the US Marshals Service conveyed, "The US Marshals Service takes any allegations of employee misconduct seriously," underlining that the purported actions contradict the professional standards adhered to by its numerous employees.

Another deputy marshal, briefly detained, was later released to return home. Both marshals were in London on official duty, accompanying a suspect back to the United States when the incident transpired. Delta Airlines affirmed its cooperation with authorities, noting, "Due to disruptive passenger behavior in-flight, Delta Flight 1, JFK to London-Heathrow, was met by local law enforcement upon landing, and Delta is cooperating with their investigation."
