New Delhi: Spain's star tennis player Rafael Nadal is showing a smoky game at the US Open 2022 these days. He won the second round with a bang. But in the meantime, Nadal encountered an accident. Due to this, he got hurt his nose. In fact, Nadal came to play his second-round match in the US Open, the last Grand Slam tournament of the year, on Friday (September 2). He was up against Fabio Fognini of Italy. But, in the same match, Nadal's racket accidentally hit his nose and his nose started bleeding.  

 

However, thankfully, Nadal had almost won the match when he suffered the injury. In fact, Nadal lost the first set 2-6. After this, in the next three sets, he came back with a bang and won the last three sets 6-4, 6-2, 6-1 to win the match. Meanwhile, in the fourth set, he accidentally hit the nose with his own racket while trying to save a shot. This had led to bleeding from his nose. However, Nadal's nose was bandaged on the court. After this, he also played the fourth set and won the match.

Nadal is currently the player to win the Grand Slam title 22 times in the world. The incident at Arthur Ace Stadium created a strange situation and play was halted for about 5 minutes. Nadal immediately covered his mouth with both hands and also talked in a funny way about this incident after the match. When asked if he had met with such an accident before, Nadal joked, "It happened on the golf course, but it has never happened before the tennis racket. Initially, I felt a little dizzy. There was slight pain later.''
