Badaun: In Uttar Pradesh, Mob attacked a police team in Alapur area of Badaun district after receiving reports of firing in the past night, injuring a soldier in the incident. The mob also snatched the rifle from the injured soldier. However, the police recovered the rifle and the two accused have been taken to rest.

Superintendent of Police Praveen Chauhan informed that the incident took place in Ward nine of Kakrapa town under Alipur police station area of the district. He said, the constable Ashok Bhadoria and O P Singh, who were stationed at the police post, reached ward number nine on the notice of firing where a young man named Phool Mian threw stones at the police with a dozen people and assaulted them. Chauhan said, the mob also snatched a Jawan's rifle. He said, Constable Ashok Bhadoria was injured in the attack.

Superintendent of Police Praveen Chauhan arrived at the spot along with the police force of four stations as soon as the incident was reported. The constable has been admitted to the District Hospital for treatment and medical examination. Badaun Senior Superintendent of Police, Resolution Sharma has informed that the snatched rifle has been recovered and two accused have been arrested.
