Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, after completing one-and-a-half years of her office, spoke to the media on the new anti-conversion law and safety of women. He took strict steps to improve university education immediately after taking charge, but then everything changed as the epidemic started.
Governor Anandiben Patel said that, after taking charge, I started inquiring about the functioning of universities, appointment of vice-chancellors and found that 260 files were pending since 2014 and once I started looking at these files, I got discovered that anomalies were occurring. Things started to settle down. But then Corona came and the results that were decided could not come.
To the question asked on the new anti-conversion law and the right of women to decide their partner, the governor said that whenever a bill comes, it does not come like this. A survey was carried out, which showed how many girls got married, how many suffered, how many girls returned, how many girls filed complaints. Even the parents come forward demanding arrest, accusing the boy of changing his name.
