Lucknow: A shocking revelation has been made in the case of violence that broke out in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur on June 3. According to a report, Hayat Zafar Hashmi, the mastermind of the violence that broke out in Kanpur, had a nexus with some policemen. These police officers include ACP Akmal Khan, SHO of Baconganj police station Nawab Ahmed and the outpost in-charge.

According to the report, the SIT set up to probe the Kanpur violence is likely to question these policemen as well. It has been claimed that Hayat Zafar Hashmi was in touch with these police officers till just before the violence. It was only with the connivance of some police officers that such terrible violence could be carried out. According to the report, the president of the Johar Fans Association, Hayat Zafar Hashmi, had said in a conversation with the policemen that he would carry out the violence on June 5 instead of the three. However, even after giving assurances, there was a disturbance only on June 3.

It may be recalled that on June 3, after the Jumei prayers, a mob of Islamic rioters who took to the streets in Kanpur created a ruckus. Many people were injured in it. The special thing is that on that day, the President, Prime Minister and Chief Minister yogi of the country were also in Kanpur. After the incident, the police, who came into action, arrested Hayat Zafar Hashmi. He has been sent to 14-day judicial custody. Not only this, the name of the Islamic radical organisation Popular Front of India (PFI) was also highlighted in the Kanpur violence.

Police had confirmed that Zafar Hashmi had called the PFI on the day of the violence. The name of Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Nizam Qureshi has also come up in this case. The list of 36 rioters that Kanpur police had released on June 5 included Nizam Qureshi's name in the top-5. However, so far, the police have arrested 50 accused in the case and 147 illegal properties of the rioters involved in stone-pelting and violence have also been identified and bulldozers can strike them anytime.
