Kaushambi: Children of Jawaharlal Navodaya School at Teva in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh have left their studies and sat on strike on Friday. Hundreds of school children are holding a dharna at the gate locking the college premises. They say that there is a serious problem of drinking water in the school which is causing them a lot of problems. Even after that, the principals are not listening to one of them. Even after repeated complaints, they have opted for agitation even if the problem is not resolved.

On the other hand, the school principal says that the problem is not as big as the children are agitating over the problem of drinking water. Though efforts are on to remove it, the children are still locked up. According to student Ajay Pal, the biggest problem in our school is water. We cannot study without water. For about a month, children have been suffering from water problem. All this was reported to all the teachers and principals a week ago, but their problem was not solved. All tap hand pumps and water coolers are damaged. There is a serious problem of drinking water.

According to Ankita Yadav, a student studying in the school, she has a lot of problems in her school. Even after complaining to the principal' head, the trouble could not be rectified. The biggest problem is drinking water. Without which they cannot do anything. The children say that they will sit on dharna till their problem is solved.
