Bareilly: The panic of monkeys is increasing continuously in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Monkeys are attacking people even by entering the houses. A boy injured in a monkey attack has told that he was sleeping in his house. A monkey entered the house and bit him several times. About 8-10 monkey bite cases have been reported in the village. After which nowadays people come out of the house with sticks and rods.

Giving information in this regard, District Magistrate Shivkant Dwivedi said that there is a panic of monkeys especially in Mirganj area. We have sought permission from the wildlife chief warden to capture the monkeys. I would request residents to be careful. The injured can be treated in our district hospitals. Let us inform you that on Wednesday, four people were seriously injured by the dreaded monkeys in the area. At present, all of them are undergoing treatment in different hospitals. Monkeys have killed one in the Mirganj area in a week, while injuring 68 people. 

There is a fear of monkeys in every person in Satuiya and surrounding villages. Children are going to school with sticks. Due to the fear of monkeys, people are sitting with sticks at the door of the shop. Monkeys attack and run away in the forest. Monkeys have so far bitten and injured 12 people of Thanpur. Villagers in Khirka, Kharagpur, Aundh, Madhauli, Nara Faridapur, Mughalpur, and Kasba Fatehganj West have been bitten and seriously injured. Suraj Rajshree, injured in the attack of monkeys in village Mughalpur, is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
