Bijnor: A sensational revelation has been made in the murder of a priest who 'tells the number of bets' in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. The priest was killed by Zeeshan. Zeeshan had given the priest about Rs. 72,000 to tell him the lucky number of the betting. The priest also told him the number, but the number did not come out. Zeeshan then killed the priest.

Police have solved the murder of a Mahakali temple priest in Nangal, Bijnor on December 12. The priest was beaten to death with sticks by Zeeshan, a resident of Mohalla Fish Market in Bijnor city. Ramdas Giri, the temple priest, used to tell people the lucky number of bets. It was only to get the lucky number of the betting that Zeeshan had given Baba Ramdas Giri a new mobile of Rs. 21,000 and a cash of Rs. 51,000 so that Baba could tell him the lucky number of the betting, but even after the number mentioned by Baba, his number did not come out. Angered by this, Zeeshan called the priest in the afternoon and the two had a heated argument.

Then, angry Zeeshan reached the temple and quarrelled with the priest and attacked him with sticks that led to the death of the priest. Police took Zeeshan's number on listening on surveillance and arrested the killer from the intersection in Mandawar.
