According to the report, the incident took place for the first time on October 12 last year. Inspector Deepak Pandey of Ashiana police station said that the victim used to make a living by sweeping people's houses. Due to this, she also worked in the house of retired DSP Aftab Alam. The victim told the police that Aftab Alam had an evil eye on her for a long time. It was on October 12, 2021, when Aftab Alam came to his house. That day he was alone at home. On getting the opportunity, the accused raped her and threatened not to tell anyone about it. At the same time, the accused also said that if she (the victim) told anyone about it by mistake, he would kill her. After this incident, the victim was very scared.

Aftab's courage grew after the first rape. A week later, the accused once again reached the victim's house. There he raped the victim again. However, this time the victim took off her video. She showed this video to her husband. At first, they did not dare, but then somehow, with courage, the husband and wife went to the police station and gave a complaint against the accused, as well as complained about the matter to the higher authorities. Aftab Alam escaped as soon as the case was registered after the intervention of the higher authorities. He was putting pressure on the victim to compromise even though he was absconding. Meanwhile, he was arrested by the police from his house on Friday. Although he tried to escape citing illness, he was sent to jail after undergoing his medical treatment.
