Under this, tourism activities and hotel restaurant operators have been given exemption in fix demand charge of electricity. Industries have also been given exemption of three months in fix demand charge of electricity. It is not that they do not have to pay this charge. They will have to pay this charge after three months. The relief is that they will not have to pay interest for these three months.

Government spokesperson Madan Kaushik told about the decisions of the cabinet that the biggest loss in the lockdown has been to the tourism industry. More than 34 hundred hotels are registered in the state, in which more than one lakh people have got employment. All hotels, restaurant traders have been given exemption in electricity charging. The cabinet has approved to bring an ordinance to implement the Model Act of the Central Government.
