Dehradun: The five accused who gang-raped a five-year-old girl and her mother in a moving car in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, have finally been arrested by the police. The robbers had raped the mother-daughter and threw them on the bank of the canal. Regarding the arrest of the accused, Haridwar SSP Yogendra Rawat said that in these five days, 250 CCTV footage were examined in search of the accused and more than 200 people were questioned.

According to the report, the five arrested accused are residents of Muzaffarnagar, Deoband and Roorkee in Uttarakhand in the state. With this, two of the arrested accused have turned out to be Bharatiya Kisan Union (Tikait faction) leaders. One of them is identified as Subodh Kakran, who heads the Saharanpur division and the other is Vicky Tomar. He is the divisional vice-president of the BKU's main body. According to the report, the BKU expelled both of them from the faction after the name came up in the gang-rape case.

At the same time, a press note issued by the police has clarified that after the incident on the night of June 24, the victim and her child are admitted to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. According to the SSP, He knew only one accused. Whose name was Sonu. In her complaint to the police, the victim said that a man named Sonu was wearing a pink shirt. The victim said Sonu made the mother-daughter sit on his bike and suddenly took the bike down from the road leading to the highway by crossing the Sonali bridge and took her to a secluded place and raped her.

Meanwhile, four other accused in a white Alto car (number UP12R-5646) reached there and forcibly put the mother-daughter in the car and took them to a field about two-and-a-half kilometres away and raped the woman in the field and her five-year-old daughter in the car. After committing the crime, the woman and her daughter were thrown out of the car and fled toward Mangalore. Later, the locals reported it to the police.

At the same time, the investigation has revealed that the Alto car is registered in the name of Rajiv alias Vicky Tomar (Muzzafarnagar). Based on CCTV footage and other information, Rajiv alias Vicky Tomar (46) and Subodh (30) have been arrested. During interrogation, both of them confessed to their crimes. The accused have named their accomplices Sonu Tejian (32) and Jagdish.
