Dehradun: The vehicles drivers who are spreading pollution in the capital and surrounding areas of Uttarakhand will no longer be well. A large-scale investigation campaign is going to be started by the Transport Department on Monday. On the instructions of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), on the initiative of the monitoring committee set up to control air pollution, vehicles will be checked by the transport department officials. A seven-member team of officers has also been formed under the leadership of ARTO Enforcement Arvind Pandey to run the campaign.

According to the information received, ARTO (Enforcement) Arvind Pandey told that the campaign will be started from 7 in the morning. During this time, overloading, Overspeed, fitness, permit, driving license will also be investigated along with pollution check of vehicles. There will be a special focus on pollution investigation during the campaign. For the vehicles whose pollution was found to be higher than the prescribed standards, on the spot, along with imposing heavy fines under the rules, seize action will also be taken.

In order to check the pollution of vehicles soon, more than 100 investigation centers were opened in the city by the Transport Department.
