New Delhi: Liquor baron Vijay Mallya's Kingfisher House, which has been absconding for many years with thousands of crores of rupees from banks, has finally been auctioned. The Debt Recovery Tribunal Bengaluru has auctioned Kingfisher House for Rs 52.25 crore. It was the headquarters of Kingfisher House Vijay Mallya's company Kingfisher Airlines.

The debt tribunal had been conducting auctions for the sale of Kingfisher House since 2016. But he has succeeded in selling it after four years. During this period, 8 auctions were organized, which failed. This kingfisher house has been sold in the auction held for the ninth time. However, the reserve price of the first auction in 2016 has been sold at a much lower price than Rs 135 crore. The actual value of this property is said to be around Rs. 150 crores.

State that the auction was held for the 8th time for the sale of this property on 27th November 2019. The reserve price of Kingfisher House was fixed at Rs 54 crore in the auction. But even at such a low price, it did not get any purchase. In the ninth auction, Saturn Realtors of Hyderabad have bought it at a bid of Rs 52.25 crore. The reserve price of Kingfisher House was fixed at Rs 52 crore in the auction.
