Washington: Walt Disney World is going to lay off more than 11,000 employees due to the Corona epidemic. After this, the total number of employees who lost jobs due to the epidemic in the company's Florida-based resort will be about 18,000. 11,350 employees of Disney World have formed an organization. It has mostly part-time employees.

In a letter written to local and state-level leaders of these employees, the company said that it will lay off these employees by the end of this year. The company officials had earlier said that 6,400 out of union employees in Florida will also be laid out. Earlier this year, 720 artists and singers who worked at Disney World were fired from the company.

According to the Actors' Equity Association, a labor organization representing these artists, the reason for being fired is the cancellation of several live entertainment shows at the company's Florida resort. Walt Disney decided last month to eliminate 28,000 jobs from its park units in Florida and California. This entire process is part of its plan.
