"It's been a confusing rhythm of life for everyone since 2020; it's no different for actors. Last year, when the lockdown was relaxed and we were all getting back to the set, there was so much confusion - sanitisation, social distancing and wearing a mask had come into play. I was shooting for Avatara Purusha then and in the intial days, we were still figuring out how to work with these parameters. Everyone was scared and even if someone sneezed close-by, we worried if we would catch the virus. Also, I'm someone who always hugs my team...the makeup boy, my assistant, etc., the moment I arrive at work. But with the pandemic, I had to stop doing it. So, man who is a social animal, had to start practising social distancing," shares Sharan

This year, however, he feels a lot more settled at work. "Now, we have all understood how things work in the pandemic, and masks and sanitisers seem most normal on the set now,” he explains. Sharan goes on to tell us that as actors, the camera is everything to them. “No matter how long you’ve been away, the moment it is on, you get into the groove, I am so happy that with this role in Guru Shishyaru, I will be reliving my younger days of the 90s; the era before mobiles came in. It was about TV sets, landlines, STD booths...I can't describe how excited I am to go back to that era," says Sharan.

"I'm enjoying my stint as an actor. I don’t know if I want to direct. Comedy is what made me who I am. It's a genre I'll never let go of.  All my upcoming flicks will have new dimensions of Sharan, but with comedy as the central theme,” he states. "After all, Chaplin taught us that anything can be conveyed through comedy...even a social message. What can be greater than that?" sums up the actor.
