New Delhi: Monsoon is once again catching pace in many states of the country. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), rain may occur in Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and parts of West Bengal. According to the Meteorological Department, with the active monsoon from July 18-19, good rains are expected in many states in the next three-four days.

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be thunderstorms in the next few hours in Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Meerut, Hastinapur, Bijnor, Najibabad, Chandpur and surrounding areas of Uttar Pradesh. Due to the rise in temperature in most areas of UP, there is humidity, due to which people are very upset and waiting for rain. Lucknow recorded a maximum temperature of 2.8 degrees Celsius, 36.6 degrees Celsius above normal on Friday. The minimum temperature was also recorded at 28.3 degree Celsius, 2.4 degrees higher than normal. However, parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh may receive rain on Saturday.

A cyclonic circulation is seen over central parts of Madhya Pradesh. According to weather forecast agency, Skymet, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at one or two places with light to moderate rains over Uttarakhand, Terai regions of Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and some parts of northern coastal Andhra Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, North Bihar, Odisha, South-Western Madhya Pradesh, South-Eastern Rajasthan, Telangana, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.
