Haldia area of Bengal becomes Corona hotspot, being monitored by drone

Kolkata: Drones are being used in West Bengal to monitor the areas most affected by the Coronavirus. Such areas are being called 'microspots' (hotspots) in the state. Haldia is one such area, where drones are being used to monitor the entire lockdown. Through this, people are being prevented from standing on the roofs of their buildings.

Parts of Haldia in East Midnapore district and Balluk village of Tamluk have been sealed from all sides. Most of the coronavirus patients have been found in Durgachak's D Block, Deobhog, Patherberia, Rajnagar area in Haldia. However, no data has been officially revealed by the administration yet. But according to sources, 4 people have been found corona infected so far.

West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee has announced to extend the lockdown in the state till April 30. On the orders of SDPO Tanmay Mukherjee, the police is monitoring these areas with a drone. So that people can gather and find out immediately if shops are open. Disinfectants have been sprayed throughout the city.
