Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has once again targeted the Samajwadi Party (SP). Mayawati has said that SP's policy regarding the interests of Dalit, extremely backward, and Muslim societies has been wavering since the beginning. Because of this, today the SP is completely on the backfoot. Mayawati said that SP has a long history of casteist hatred towards Dalits, most backward castes, Babasaheb Ambedkar, and Kanshi Ram. Due to this, the guest house scandal took place in 1995, and the alliance between both parties was broken. If the SP had continued to run the coalition government in UP according to Kanshi Ram's thinking, there would never have been a rift in the coalition. Instead of fighting the BJP, the SP is working to weaken the BSP.

The BSP supremo further said that the anti-Dalit character of the SP is not hidden from anyone. Because of this, he tore the reservation bill in half in Parliament. At the same time, by implementing the anti-Dalit system in Uttar Pradesh without proper thought, it caused a big blow to the government employees. He said that caste animosity towards great Dalit saints was not hidden from anyone during SP's rule. SP can never be forgiven for this. Taking a dig at Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati said that the names of Babasaheb Ambedkar Udyan Park and Kashiram Urdu Arabi Farsi University were changed by the SP government. All these are such black spots on the hem of SP that are never going to be washed off.

What is the guest house scandal?

Let us inform you that in 1993, SP-BSP contested the assembly elections in alliance. After this, his government was formed in the state. Two years after this, there was a conflict between the two parties. After this, on June 2, 1995, BSP supremo Mayawati called a meeting of party leaders at the State Guest House to break the alliance. Meanwhile, SP leaders attacked the guest house. It was alleged that SP leaders had also misbehaved with Mayawati.

In the book 'Behanji, based on Mayawati's life, author Ajay Bose writes that SP-backed goons had thrashed Mayawati by locking her in a room and tearing her clothes. Many SP supporters were gathered outside that room when the BJP's domineering Brahmin MLA Brahmadutt Dwivedi reached there. Ajay Bose wrote that, at that time, Dwivedi saved the life and dignity of Dalit Mayawati by risking her life. Dwivedi then pushed the SP supporters out of room number one of the guesthouse and closed the door with great difficulty. This scandal is called the guesthouse scandal in UP politics. After this incident, Mayawati started considering the BJP MLA as her brother. On February 10, 1997, when Bramhadatt Dwivedi was murdered on the day of Basant Panchami, Mayawati wept bitterly. Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Vijay Singh was convicted in the murder of Bramhdutt Dwivedi.
