Nora Fatehi has grabbed all the limelight after she filed a defamation suit against Jacqueline Fernandez and 15 media organizations in a Delhi court for alleged defamatory remarks made by her. She accused the media organizations of "carrying forward and circulating" Jacqueline’s remarks. However, before their name came in the Sukesh Chandrashekhar 200 crore case they have a very good bond with each.
When Nora appeared in Jhalak as a contestant and Jacqueline Judged the season. Nora wowed the judges, particularly Jacqueline Fernandez. Nora Fatehi praised Jacqueline and said, “My goodness! You are really hot. Your performance was extremely hot. More than hot actually, you are a good performer. You are very hardworking and it really shows. You will go very far and I am really looking forward to it.” A flustered Nora responded, “It means a lot coming from you.”
After this Nora performed a belly dance to Mashallah from Ek Tha Tiger. The original dance featured Katrina Kaif as a contestant. Following her act, Jacqueline called Nora ‘a better belly dancer than Katrina’,
Now Nora filed a petition against Jacqueline Fernandez and claimed Jacqueline was jealous of her. In her petition Nora claims that Jacqueline was jealous of her progressive career and therefore she is making such remarks on her, "A conspiracy by the accused No. 1 (Jacqueline Fernandez) to ensure the financial, social, and personal downfall of the complainant was hatched, and enacted by the said action. Her rapidly progressing career quite obviously has threatened her rivals who are unable to compete with her on a fair footing.”
