Kanpur: A man named Pandit Ravi Sonkar, a resident of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has issued a video on social media threatening to kill Muslims who offer prayers at the disputed Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi. Ravi Sonkar is describing himself as a worker of Bajrang Dal. The video has gone viral on social media. In the video, Ravi Sonkar is seen making threats.

Ravi Sonkar is saying in the video that, 'It is sad that these people (Muslims) have used our Shivling for many years to clean their dirty hands and feet. We will cut off their heads.' This video posted on Facebook is going viral for the last two days. Police has not yet taken any action against Ravi Sonkar. The apex court had on Thursday adjourned the hearing of the Gyanvapi Masjid case till May 20 and asked the Varanasi court not to take any further action.

Please tell that Gyanvapi Mosque of Varanasi, which is adjacent to Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It is said that this mosque was built by Aurangzeb in 1669 after demolishing a Hindu temple. On May 7, a group of Delhi-based women had reached the Varanasi court seeking permission to worship at the Shringar Gauri temple adjacent to the mosque in the Kashi Vishwanath Temple-Gyanvapi complex. The Varanasi court had ordered a survey of Gyanvapi, the report of which has been submitted to the court.
