Mumbai: A criminal of the BulliBai App, who openly bids for Muslim women, has been denied bail by a sessions court in Mumbai. In fact, the court said that an investigation should be conducted and at this stage, the character of the criminal Vishal Jha cannot be separated from the rest of the criminals. Justice Sanjashree Gharat said, "As custodial interrogation is required to investigate the undetermined aspects of the crime, the plea of the offender for release on bail on the issue of this investigation cannot be allowed."

After the same BulliBai app came to light, 21-year-old engineering student Vishal Jha was arrested from Bengaluru and sent to judicial custody. Soon after, he went to court for bail, which was rejected by the magistrate's court. Subsequently, Vishal Jha approached the sessions court for bail.

After the same magistrate court, the sessions court also rejected vishal jha's bail plea. In the wake of this, the judge said that Neeraj Bishnoi, the culprit of developing the BulliBai app, had done so with the help of other criminals of the case, including Vishal Jha, that app would have been used for virtual purchase and sale of a Muslim woman. The judge said the BulliBai app caused defamation, hurting the sentiments of the particular community and the dignity of the woman. The court also said that further investigation is required in the case which is still at the freezing stage. At the same time, advocate Shivam Deshmukh, appearing for Vishal Jha, had said that Jha was falsely implicated in the case. Vishal Jha's counsel said that while the prosecution had failed to prove that Jha's alleged Twitter account was used to tarnish the image of the complainant or any other woman, the agency had already recovered his laptop, mobile phone and SIM card, which could not be tampered with.
