New Delhi: President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Jay Shah has said that whether the Asia Cup 2023 will be held in Pakistan or not, a decision can be taken in the coming time. It is noteworthy that the Asia Cup 2023 will be hosted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and according to the Future Tour Program, this tournament is to be played in Pakistan. This has been discussed in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of BCCI. 

It has been announced at the BCCI AGM that Roger Binny is taking over the post of BCCI President in place of Sourav Ganguly. The BCCI has decided that the Indian team will not go to Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup and in such a situation, this tournament should be shifted to a neutral venue. According to the news of Cricbuzz, Jay Shah has said that 'We have decided that the Indian team will not go to Pakistan regarding the venue of the Asia Cup.'

Let us tell you that Team India has not visited Pakistan since 2008. In 2008, Team India went to Pakistan for the last time to play the Asia Cup. The bilateral series has not been played for a long time due to poor political relations between the two countries. The matches between India and Pakistan are played only during ICC tournaments and Asia Cup.
