Gwalior: In a shocking incident, a woman tried to hang herself during the public hearing of the Collector in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, where a woman folded 2-3 folds of a scarf around her neck, made a knot and tightened it. As soon as the woman fell unconscious, there was chaos, the police personnel present there wanted to remove the scarf from the woman's neck, then she held it tightly, then hardly a policeman with the help of other persons removed the scarf from the woman's neck, immediately called the doctor there and the woman was treated.

According to the application submitted to the Collector's public hearing, the woman's husband has died, her ancestral agricultural land has been occupied by the strongmen and they have been cultivating it for many years, she wants to demarcate this agricultural land. On May 25, an online application for demarcation was made in Tansen tehsil Murar, the tehsildar asked him to meet RI and Halka Patwari, he gave a hard copy of the application to RI, then he said that Patwari is currently on leave, if you want to get the demarcation done soon, then give me Rs 25,000 and I will demarcate it in a special case.

In the application, Saroj Jatav wrote that I told RI that I am a poor widow, I belong to a Scheduled Caste, from where I will give so much money, then RI said that if you do not give money, then I will not allow the demarcation of your land. Saroj also complained about this to the Tehsildar but the Tahsildar did not take any action and till date the land has not been demarcated. Saroj said that she is poor, she is not her husband, if her agricultural land is freed from the strongmen, then she will feed herself, but when the government officials and employees are not supporting me, on the contrary, they are demanding a bribe from me, then what should I do, it is okay to die. That is why we have done it. Although the woman was explained after treatment that what she did was wrong, the officials said that the enrollment of your land will be done as per rules.
