Did you know that India has the lowest per capita meat consumption in the world and that about 10% of the world's population is vegetarian? On October 1, we recognise the advantages of being a vegetarian and acknowledge that a vegetarian diet may be really delightful. It's World Vegetarian Day, so break out the tofu, cheese pizza, veggie burgers, and other meatless treats!

Every year, hundreds of people change their lifestyles to one that is healthier and more ethical. These people care about animal welfare and want to put an end to animal cruelty. They also want to live long, healthy lives, avoid the dangers of heart disease, and maintain attractive bodies by living in harmony with the Earth. Who are these individuals? They are vegetarians, and World Vegetarian Day honours their choice to give up eating meat and other animal products in favour of a more compassionate lifestyle.

Here’s Everything you can do to Celebrate the Day:

Distribute the veg wealth

Become a vegetarian for the day even if you're not one already. Share some vegetarian cuisine with your coworkers at work or at school. You don't want to exert any additional effort. Purchase a prepared veggie tray. Even the most ardent meat eaters enjoy veggie trays.

Try a restaurant's meatless menu.

Are you the kind of person who quickly scans the vegetarian options on the menu before moving on? Today, take advantage of the chance to look into the vegetarian options and choose a vegetarian supper. The future? It might even be tastier than that steak.

Go shopping at a farmer's market.

Your local farmer's market likely has some of the tastiest and freshest produce available. You may discover a wide variety of meatless dishes to suit any taste or mood now that fall is in the air, including pumpkin!

Why Should you go Vegetarian?

Beneficial for the environment

Going meatless helps the environment by saving fossil fuels in addition to animals. Did you know that whereas producing 1 calorie of beef requires 78 calories of fossil fuel, producing 1 calorie of soybeans only requires 1 calorie? That makes the manufacturing of meat 780% more efficient!

Beneficial for your physique

On a vegetarian diet, you often eat a lot of the nutrients that are sometimes absent from meat, such as fibre, folic acid, vitamins C and E, magnesium, unsaturated fat, and a tonne of phytochemicals. Lower cholesterol, a lower risk of heart disease, lower blood pressure, and a healthier weight result from this.

Vegetarian cuisine can be tasty

It's a common misconception that meatless diets are boring and unappealing, but that's not always the case. Veggie-based pancakes can be made using almost any vegetable.
