World's largest passenger plane Airbus A380 arrives in Bangalore airport

BANGALORE: The world's largest passenger plane Airbus A380 operated by Emirates' reached at the Kempe Gowda International Airport in Bangalore on Saturday, October 15.

Notably, Bangalore became the first southern city in the country where services of world's largest passenger aircraft is launched.

Minister for Co-Operation, S T Somashekar and Bangalore International Airport Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Hari Marar termed the moment as historical and lauded Emirates for reposing trust in Karnataka government.

Satyaki Raghunath, Chief Strategy and Development officer at Bangalore International Airport, said that Bangalore has become the first city in southern India to be served by Emirates flagship A380 services.

The fact that this wide-body plane landed at Bangalore airport shows that it can operate well and that the number of passengers is going up. Raghunath said that the new A380 service between Dubai and Bangalore will not only meet the high demand for travel, but it will also help to increase traffic between the two markets.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates' Chief Commercial Officer, said, "Our special relationship with Bangalore and the state of Karnataka is one of growth and prosperity for both of us." "We're happy to bring A380 flights to this vital gateway  for travellers in southern India. Today's flight shows how well we get along with the city, and we are looking forward to giving passengers to and fro Bangalore the best experiences in all cabins when we start our daily scheduled A380 services at the end of this month "he added.
