Prayagraj: Allahabad High Court has given a big decision regarding worship in Vyasji basement. Rejecting the petition of the Muslim side, the court has said that the worship will continue in the basement. Let us tell you that recently the Varanasi District Judge had given permission to the Hindu side to worship in the basement of Vyas ji. Thereafter, the Muslim side went to the High Court. After the High Court rejects the petition, the Muslim side can now go to the Supreme Court.

While giving the order, the High Court said that the puja which had been ordered by the Varanasi District Judge in the past, will continue. Let us tell you that the bench of Justice Rohit Ranjan Aggarwal in Allahabad High Court had heard the appeal filed by Anjuman Intejamia Masjid Committee, the organization that manages Gyanvapi Masjid, and had reserved its decision. In this matter, Vishnu Shankar Jain, the advocate for the Hindu side in the Gyanvapi case, said, "Today the Allahabad High Court has rejected both the petitions of Anjuman Arrangement, which means that the puja which was going on will continue in the same manner. If they go to the Supreme Court, we will also present our views in the High Court."

After December 1993, there was a ban on entering the barricaded area in the courtyard of Gyanvapi, after which puja was not taking place in the basement of Vyas ji. The rituals of attachment and indulgence had also stopped. The Hindu side also claimed in the court that worship was held here even during the British rule. Materials related to the worship of Sanatan Dharma and many ancient statues and other materials of religious importance are present in the said basement.
