New Delhi: Businessman Kapil Wadhavan and Dheeraj Wadhawan have been granted bail in the YES Bank loan scam case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) failed to file a charge sheet against them within the stipulated time of 60 days. However, the two brothers, promoters of Dewan Housing Finance Corporation, will still be in jail, as a CBI case is also going on against them. While hearing the case, Bombay High Court Judge Bharti Dangre has approved the bail of the two brothers after they deposited bond amount of Rs1 lakh.

Both the brothers were arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on May 14 this year in connection with money laundering case. On March 7, an FIR was registered against the Wadhawan brothers by the CBI. In it, it was alleged that Yes Bank promoter Rana Kapoor and Wadhawan brothers have benefited each other illegally. The loan was given by Yes Bank to the Wadhawan brothers 'irregularly'.

The Enforcement Directorate then filed a case on 15 July against the Wadhawan brothers, Rana Kapoor, Kapoor's wife Bindu Kapoor, their daughters Roshni and Rekha and their chartered accountant firm DK Jain & Associates.
