Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is set to launch a mahaabhiyan on corona vaccination starting May 1. It will issue global tenders to immunize all people in the state. The committee set up for vaccination has recommended global tendering. The UP government is going to launch the vaccine mission from May 1.

It may be recalled that the Yogi government has already announced that all those above the age of 18 years will be vaccinated free of cost. In UP, 11.7 77 crore people have been vaccinated against corona so far, out of which 97.79 lakh vaccines have been administered as the first dose, while 19.97 lakh vaccines have been administered as the second dose. Emphasis is being laid on vaccination to control corona in UP. In the same vein, Yogi Adityanath has placed 50-50 lakh dose orders on the two indigenous vaccine manufacturing companies. The government will buy 50 lakh doses of covishield from serum institute and 50 lakh doses of covaccine from Bharat Biotech.

Recently, CM Yogi Adityanath had said that 50-50 lakh doses have been ordered to both the indigenous vaccine manufacturing companies. CM Yogi Adityanath also appeared to be quite serious about the damage to the vaccine dose in the state. He told the officials at the meeting that the vaccine should not be spoiled in any case.
