Lucknow: Infection is also spreading rapidly in jails across the country amid the corona virus epidemic. In view of the growing corona infection among prisoners, the Yogi Adityanath government in UP has now decided to release the prisoners. The UP government will release about 10,000 prisoners lodged in state jails. The release of prisoners will be done in a phased manner.

According to the information, in the first phase, prisoners who were released earlier and returned after the parole was over without any problem. The release of other prisoners will then be considered. The release of prisoners will reduce the risk of spreading corona virus infection among prisoners lodged in UP jails.

Let me tell you that more than 1500 prisoners currently lodged in UP jails have been infected with corona virus. 1604 prisoners lodged in UP jails are in the grip of corona virus. 11 corona-infected prisoners have also lost their lives. State that the Supreme court had asked the government to release prisoners on parole to reduce the risk of corona infection in jail.
