When we hear the term ‘viral content’, one name that comes to our mind is Muhammed Akief. He is a content creator who grabbed everyone’s eyeballs with his first video ‘What happens when foreigners try to be like Arab’. As a kid, he wanted to be an actor or a director and he even made a short film which he considers as a trial and error. However, he became a content creator as he experimented with his first vine video. Little did he know that he would achieve instant popularity on the web. Born and brought up in the UAE, he is currently based in Kannur, Kerala and most of his videos have a Southern touch in it.

During his free time, Akief made videos with his brothers Sabiq, Nihal and Arshad. He believes that most of the people can relate to his videos. “The videos I create are from the real-life scenarios which must have happened to me or my friends. I add a little spice to it to make it funnier. I observe all the funny moments happening around me and I quickly note them down in my phone. I believe such moments might be happening with everyone and that is why people can relate to my content.” His latest video titled ‘3 Idiots’ is a Malayalam comedy video which went up on YouTube in October 2019 and is on the verge of crossing half a million views.

The other popular videos of Muhammed are ‘If superheroes were Mallus’, ‘A Mandan From London’, ‘That one showoff friend’ and many more. Besides this, ‘The Wifi Password’ scene featuring him was all over the internet as it was reshared on many Instagram pages. On his TikTok page, the video crossed more than 2.6 million views with getting around 320K likes. Social media has truly made Muhammed Akief a popular star. Thanking his fans for showering immense love on him, he said, “Gratitude is what I would say at this moment. It feels heaven when people walk up to you and thank you for making their day. It is just the beginning and I will create more content like this and entertain everyone all over the world.”
