Spiritual leader and a Hindu monk  Swami Vivekananda’s birthday is celebrated on the 12th of January every year in India. The day is observed as the National Youth Day following the Government of India’s declaration of the same in the year 1984. He was a modern Hindu saint and follower of Vedanta philosophy of Hinduism.  He was more than just a spiritual mind; he was a prolific thinker, great orator and passionate patriot. He carried on the free-thinking philosophy of his guru, Ramakrishna Paramhansa forward into a new paradigm. He founded Belur Math, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission.
