The Tripura govt has finished the task of linking 100 percent of Aadhaar cards to ration cards in the state, marking a new record in the public utility sector. According to a govt press release issued during the high-level meeting, Sharadindu Chowdhury, secretary to the Department of Food, Public Resources, and Consumer Affairs, there are 1,884 fair pricing stores in the state, with 466 in urban areas and the remainder in rural areas.

And, due to the synchronisation of Aadhaar data, Tripura residents may now obtain rations from any region of the nation using the newly issued ration card," he informed the meeting. He then added that all operations, from stock management to distribution of supplies, are monitored online in order to maintain transparency in the flow of ration goods.

He further stated that the state administration has agreed to open over 408 ration shops, with 159 currently operational. "Under the Prime Minister's Ujjwala Yojana, LPG users in the state would receive gas cylinders at their doorsteps," the Chief Minister remarked at the meeting. The department should make steps to begin home delivery of services as soon as possible." "The Central government pays 28% of the transportation costs, therefore if any gas agency refuses to deliver gas cylinders to the recipients' houses, strict action will be taken," the Chief Minister informed officials.
