Lucknow: Election schedule for 5 states including Uttar Pradesh has been announced. After which preparations have now started to strengthen the security arrangements of the electoral states. ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar has said that 29138 polling stations in UP are very sensitive. 225 company semi-military forces will be deployed to maintain peace and order in the State.

He said about 25,000 central paramilitary personnel have been ordered to be deployed in the state. 150 company forces will be deployed from January 10. The remaining 75 company forces will reach UP on January 20. Prashant Kumar was speaking to the press in connection with the security arrangements made during the polling on Sunday. He said 109 drones, 168 river boats, 420 portable CCTV cameras, 563 still cameras, 492 video cameras and 3573 body warne cameras will be used in view of security in the elections.

Also, quick communication will be done with the public through the C-Plan app. Prashant Kumar has informed that wireless sets and satellite phones will be used at 456 polling booths in 11 districts of the state namely Pilibhit, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Lakhimpurkheri, Bahraich, Balrampur, Shravasti, Lalitpur, Meerut, Sonbhadra and Chandauli due to poor communication.
