A case has been registered against two people and according to the investigation officer police officer ASI Paramjit Kaur, in the statement lodged to the police, she said that "about two years ago, she had befriended the young man resident of village Lohara. During this time, the accused took her with him in a hotel and then drugged her by making her drink some intoxicants and also made pornographic videos. From the video, the accused kept blackmailing her for a long time.

According to the young woman, on September 17, she was returning home from Gurdwara Sahib. On the way, the accused reached her with an unknown partner and both of them forcibly gave her some poisonous medicine. She was admitted to the hospital after her condition deteriorated. From where the police recorded her statement and registered a case against an unknown person, including the accused. According to the investigating officer, the arrest of the accused is still pending.
