Lucknow: A major fire broke out in 25 boxes of a polythene park illegally kept in a house built in the middle of a dense settlement at Joshitola in Jehanabad town of Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday (August 2, 2022) afternoon. Due to the blast, the two-storey house was blown away. In the accident, three daughters of firecracker trader Azim Beg died due to burns and being buried in the debris. The deceased have been identified as Nisha, Sania and Nagma.

The explosion was so severe that panic spread among the people of the nearby houses. It is being told that the sound of explosions was heard about half a kilometre away. On receiving information about the incident, Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar P, ASP Dr Pavitra Mohan Tripathi, SDM Yogesh Kumar Gaur, and the forensic team reached the spot. It is being told that the police and fire brigade got control of the fire after several hours of hard work.

According to the media report, Azim Baig had stored a stock of firecrackers in the room below his house. The fire broke out in the fire in house around 2.30 pm. Firoz Begum, wife of firecracker trader Azim Baig, and her six children were present in the house at the time of the blast. Three daughters were in the inner part and the remaining 3 children, including the mother, were in the outer part. Firoz Begum said that the three daughters were praying during the blast. At the same time, it has also come to light in the media report that the house collapsed due to the explosion.
