9 wounded in conflict between two groups
tyle="text-align:justify">Thursday, nine people were wounded in a conflict between groups of Dalit and one more community over land-related dispute at Mataali village in Shamli district, police said.
As per police report, the clash occurred yesterday when the members of Dalit community tried to put off another community members from taking possession of a disputed piece of land, Circle Officer Nishank Sharma said.
He added, both the groups used sharp-edged weapons and firearms during the clash in which nine persons were injured.
However, six persons were arrested in this connection, the CO added.
