Quantico star Priyanka Chopra has announced that there will be a third season of the show. She tweeted that, "So excited about the season 3 pick up for #Quantico congrats to everyone who made it happen! #AlexParrish will be back soon.."

Earlier the speculation was that there might be a possibility that Quantico have a season three. Now the sources confirmed, "Ratings of Season 2 have been good and Priyanka will mostly start shooting for season three later this year, by July-end or August."

Says the source, "Quantico along with other serials including Agents of SHIELD, Once Upon a Time and The Goldbergs, agreed to have its license fee trimmed in a bid to cut costs. That was the main reason for its extension."

The source also said, "ABC has a full plate this year as apart from the above-mentioned series, as well as Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away With Murder, Scandal and Designated Survivor it has picked up eight more new dramas for the 2017-18."

The source said in last, "Hence Quantico 3’s extension is limited to only 13 episodes. But that doesn’t undermine PC’s international fame as a reason for the extension, and a Netflix streaming deal — it has added Quantico and American Crime to its exclusive subscription streaming lineup."
