The Uttar Pradesh Police have detained a woman from Moradabad, accused of running away with the belongings of men, intending to marry her - on the first day of their 'marriage'.Women with her gang included her mastermind husband, with those people they planned give who would make all the wedding arrangements and search for new targets as well as plan to co-ordinate.The condemned would first wed the victim groom and then rob them of their valuables like jewelry and cash.The con bride took the idea to become rich from the famous Bollywood movie 'Dolly Ki Dolly' featuring actress Sonam Kapoor.

The movie moves around a young woman, Dolly (Sonam Kapoor), who is a young con artist. First, she married Sonu Sherawat (Rajkummar Rao). She marries men from different religions and runs away with their wealth on the night of the wedding.Her entire family consists of con artists. After conning a number of rich men, she gets media attention, who label her as "looteri dulhan". A cop Robin Singh (Pulkit Samrat) decides to catch Dolly. When she tries to con Delhi boy Manjot (Varun Sharma), she slips and her photographs are splashed all over the media.

When Dolly and her gang try to con a prince (Saif Ali Khan), they are arrested by Robin Singh. Then it is revealed that Robin Singh and Dolly have a past. She is put behind bars but she escapes with Robin's help and they get married. But she leaves him too and regroups with her old gang members and goes in search of their next victim

A local of Uttarakhand's Dehradun, Preeti has dupe at least 12 men till now.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police (SP) Uday Shankar said, "We had been searching for her from previous few days. Many people refused to file any complaint due to their respect in the society. The police have arrested Preeti and her husband. We are also looking for other people of her gang."
