New Delhi: An 88-year-old man has been accused of allegedly raping a class IV girl in a village under Bilaspur police station area of Gurugram adjoining the national capital. The police registered a case at Bilaspur police station on the complaint of the girl's mother, while on Thursday, the elderly man hanged himself in the meeting around 9 am. However, the police have not found any suicide note from the elderly man.

No complaint has also been lodged in the matter from the family of the elderly man. The girl's mother, in her complaint to the police, said that she lives with her family in a village under the Bilaspur police station area. He has two daughters. The eldest daughter is 11 years old and she studies in the fourth grade. Her daughter said on Wednesday night that the 88-year-old man, who lives near her house, lured her with sweets and called and misbehaved with the girl.

The woman alleged that the girl had been wronged in the past and threatened with death. It is believed that after the case was registered, in the morning, the elderly man committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan in the house itself. When the family members went to give food, they came to know of the suicide. The police were then notified. Bilaspur police station in charge said that investigation is going on.
